Random Not Shiny

I'm posting a bunch of graphics I've made over the years as I slowly start to get more and more into art, both hand-drawn and digital media. Below are my least favorite ones - I don't really like these, but other people do, so I'm posting them.

This was just me trying to turn black hair into blond. I know better by now how to do this, of course, so I'll try a different version later to make it work. But the current result does look kind of funny and it makes me laugh.

Another experiment, I think the color of Colin's lips were too pale to make this really work as a "monocolor graphic", as his lips almost seem to blend into the background, rather than standing out.

Also the result of an experiment - the coloring worked, but in this version his eyes are too dark for this to work properly, as are Nimueh's in this one:


Fun, but also tacky.

This one is just highlighting the boys while fading the background without actually making it black and white. Did Not Work.

This one just feels awkward - colored in skin in an otherwise black and white photo always feels awkward to me, like this:

(Though that one does create a slightly 3D affect)
