Arise, Oh Fallen

I wrote this poem long ago, but felt it was appropriate for this day and month, so I reposted it here:

And so the fallen
Shall ascend
For doom and hope
This doth portend

As all their ails
They do defy
Listen closely
For their cry

What you hear
May tear your heart
And it may rip you
All apart

But even though
It may be blurred
Far and wide
They must be heard

So their pains
May come to light
And so the world
May join their fight

Soon love and hope
There will be
And all the rest
Can watch and see

As the fallen
All ascend
For victory
This doth portend
