Yeah, well, seriously, Camelot's colors are red and gold. Of course Arthur's a Gryffindor! ^_^
As for Merlin being the girl in the relationship, I can somewhat see how/why that happens so much. But then, that's also why I personally ship top!Merlin with bottom!Arthur, or ships where they kinda just switch off. ^_^
