I nearly jumped out of the chair out of excitement when I saw that you updated this story! :) I'm in love with it and Merlin and Arthur haven't even met yet!
Arthur's story is so heartwarming and tragic and I can so understand why he wants to get rid of his wings while they feel like a normal part of him and being torn and everything. And it's natural that Merlin thinks about getting "cured". Wouldn't everyone who had to experience what he's been through?
I think if I would just have Lance's power or Gwen's or anything like that that I could control, I would tell everyone I'd get this cure but don't and only my best friends now that I still have my power. (I'm cowardish. I know. But, hey, I'm not a main character. I wouldn't make a good one, really.) ;)
