I get what you're saying about gender relations in mideival settings and whatnot. But Merlin is already screwing with gender relations. We've already got issues with Arthur and his sense of manliness/chivalry. Not to mention feminist!Morgana, to which end I can imagine Gwen would pick up a few things from her. :D

And yeah, Merlin teaching Morgana magic like that was fun to write. Personally, I think Morgana's going to end up good, or at least not really evil - all the evil sorcerers' eyes go black, and Morgana's eyes flashed gold. ;)
