Thanks so much for the update!!! I love how you kept it in line with the episode (what I know of it anyway) but Arthur still figured out that Uther technically had killed his wife. Wonderfully written, and the interaction between Merlin and Arthur was great!!!
One minor grammar/stylistic point. You wrote:
Nobles were so wasteful, and the kitchen staff kept an extra morsel of various treats in the meals to accommodate the servants nicking some and nibbling on it to and from the hall. And nobles were all so wasteful, and the food was brilliant.
You say the "nobles were wasteful" twice - it's a just a little repetitive.
