Oh, what a bittersweet ending with Nimueh and Uther before everything turned sour. I liked how it showed that, in the present, even though Uther has as he said "finally gotten something with magic right", there is still that potential that something bad could happen. Nimueh and Uther could not have foreseen how their friendship would fall apart in that last part, after all.
I liked that Uther just warned Merlin to be more guarded in using his magic. After having a look at Uther's past throughout this fic, I thought it fit nicely with his character and imbued him with some humanity that we don't see too often on the show.
Love how Uther kept baby!Arthur in his room after Igraine died because he wanted him close as he was the last link Uther had to her. :(
This was a lovely story overall. I liked what you did with the idea.
