One Phrase, Many Languages

So, on my fanfiction.net profile, I have a thing going on where I say "Hi, I'm Nyxie!" in multiple languages, with a note that anyone can contribute another language to the list. So far, it's just been on FFN, but I figured if anyone here wants to contribute, go ahead. I'll always link back to your LJ or FFN Profile, which ever you prefer, when you provide a language. :)

This is also the post for anyone on FFN who does not have an account to send me a PM, but would still like to contribute a language. You can comment here "Anonymously" (meaning not signed into an account). You can leave me just a name, or if you have an account of some sort somewhere else (i.e. IJ, DW, a specific archive, or anything else), you can leave me with a URL to whatever you want me to link the contribution to. :)

And if you can, please leave an e-mail address so I can contact you to thank you, and let you know when I've put up the language on my profile! :D

TBH, in Dutch, it's: Ik ben Niksie.. and I don't even think you have to spell your name differently, but whatever..

not: Ik heet Niksie. Because that would mean: Hi! my name is Nixy..

sorry..

xD

Because that would mean: Hi! my name is Nixy..

That's what I'm trying to say - how does "Ik ben" differ from "Ik heet"?

It's more common.. When you meet someone you say: Ik ben..

well most of the people anyway..

and because you said you were trying to say: Hi! I'm Nixy.. or at least that's what I read, I thought I would hop in and be annoying xD

sorry :P

No, it's okay, thank you! I'll add it as the informal version and change the first one to "formal" version (would that be an accurate way of naming the two versions?)

Kind of.. but you really don't have to ;) I just thought of telling you because you seemed interested in the languages :D

btw, it's a really cool idea!!! :D

I'm glad you like the idea. And, the alteration has been added. :)

"Привет. Меня завут Никси." Phonetically, "Preevyet. Menya zavoot Nixie."

سلام!میرانامﻧﻜﺲ.ہے

(Salam! Mera naam Niksi hai.)

Since you already have Hindi and Spanish, I thought I'd throw in Urdu as well. :DDD

Thank you! It's been added. :)

Just one question - of the script, which part is my name? I like to bold that part consistently so people know which part of the phrase is what. :)

ﻧﻜﺲ

This is your name (the part that should be bolded, lol)
