I'm glad you like it, despite not knowing much about riding. (If you really want to know, I don't know all that much, either).

And, well, wow...George of the Jungle? I have no idea how you got that. *scratches head* Ah, well - weird things happen among the minds of the insane geniuses. :D

As for Bradley's riding - the way he sits on the saddle. When your horse is just walking, or even doing a light trot, then yeah, you can get away with just sitting in a saddle (that's why all the trail rides that let you ride a horse with pretty much no training are always done in a walk).

But with a brisker trot - or a canter - or with a full out gallop, you have to move with your horse. It's called gaiting, I think (I don't remember what it was called, but I remember how to do it).

When your horse moves that fast, you will bounce up and down a bit, no matter what. If you move correctly (almost 'stand' in the stirrups, or move your body in time with the horse so you aren't bouncing so much as rocking, and when you go 'down' on the bounce, you don't fully land back in the saddle, so you don't just 'plop' into your seat), then your entire ride is more streamline, as the horse doesn't have to deal with this added burden screwing with its spine.

But the way Bradley moves, and most inexperience riders, means they have no control over their bounce - their upward movements are erratic, and their downward ones result in them kind of landing roughly in their seat, at times. A well trained horse can handle that - and I suspect most movie horses are that well trained - but with most normal riding horses, that would make their faster movements a little less coordinated in trying to deal with this annoying human on their backs, and their entire 'performance' would be much choppier.

Not to mention, Bradley sometimes (though not always) leans forward - almost a slump, but not quite - but that's a bad idea, as it changes the distribution of your weight along the horse's back. All of the cast do that on occasion, but it's just more noticeable with him. ^_^

:D I'm not actually an expert, but I'm good at spotting the little things whenever I bother to look for them, so while none of the cast are exactly spectacular in their riding, it's just funny that Bradley is supposed to be this high and noble prince, and yet his riding absolutely sucks.
