Hmm, have you ever read `The End of Mr Y`? Because, while it's not obviously based on dreamwalks (despite the similarities), there is the idea in there of having to get someone out of their little mental trip before they die, mainly because time passes differently there to the real world. The only problem is that to do that, someone or something has to be in the mind-world to be able to drag that person out. Of course, you know that Arthur would act exasperated if he had to do that Merlin, despite being really worried underneath. ;D
