In some versions, isn't Nimueh actually the one who kills Merlin in the end? (Or traps in him in a tree, or whatever.) I was surprised when they killed her in the show actually, since she is in the legends in whatever form. Same as Mordred showing up with apparently no connection to the characters at all (although I hope they did try and hint/reference something with the way Morgana was looking after him). And assassin sorcerers seem pretty common in this show, so how do you know Edwin was that particular one?

Really? I just find it weird because I don't remember them saying anything like that in the show, not even when Hunith showed up dying from Nimueh's spell. You'd think they might've lobbed something in there...
